Bhubaneswar: Police, on Saturday, filed a 400-page chargesheet in the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court in connection with the Manish Anurag death case.

The three accused Amrit Biswal of Nayapalli, Mrutyunjay Mishra of Pianpada and Dinesh Kumar Mohapatra of Anlapada have been named in the chargesheet.

They have been charged under sections 37 (a) (Kidnapping or abduction for ransom), 302 (Punishment for murder), 201 (Causing disappearance of evidence of offense), and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Police listed 17 witnesses in the chargesheet and the autopsy report, diatom report and visceral report have also been included.

It may be mentioned that Commissionerate Police had arrested the three accused on October 16 for allegedly killing son of senior journalist Navin Das and later disposing of his body besides destroying evidence.

The body of Manish was recovered from a pond in Patrapada under Tamando police limits. Two days after, police first detained his friend Amrit in this connection. On October 13, Dinesh and Mrutyunjaya surrendered before Phulbani police in Kandhamal district and were later brought to Bhubaneswar. Later all of them were arrested.
