Mumbai: Google Pixel 9a, which has made waves, is likely to be available in March.
A report in Android Headlines has revealed information on the characteristics, launch date and cost of the phone. Pre-orders are scheduled to start from March 19, while the Pixel 9a sale will reportedly begin on March 26.
The Pixel 9a is expected to feature flat side rails, moving away from the visor-style camera housing seen in recent Tensor-powered Pixel devices. The gadget will have a sleek, pill-shaped camera module with two lenses, each encircled by a small ring and seamlessly integrated into the phone’s back. This new design bears resemblance to LG smartphones, which have since exited the market.
In terms of pricing, Pixel 9a will start roughly around Rs 43,000 in India for a 128GB storage option, while 256 GB might cost Rs 51,900. However, the higher storage option is slightly more expensive.
Pixel 9a, poised to bring valuable upgrades to Google’s mid-range smartphone lineup, may be offered in four colours — Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peony.
The Pixel 9a is expected to have a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 48MP primary sensor with OIS for imaging. To ensure consistency between lenses, the front-facing camera is likewise anticipated to employ a 13MP Sony IMX712 sensor.
The Tensor G4 chip, the same processor used in the Pixel 9 series, is most likely to power the smartphone. A 5100mAh battery that supports both 7.5W wireless and 23W wired charging is anticipated to be housed within.
