Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported a marginal rise in daily COVID caseload on Wednesday as 762 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Among them, 102 are in the age group of 0-18 years, which is 13.3 per cent of the new cases.
The daily infection count was 638, 609 and 719 on Tuesday, Monday and Sunday respectively while the infection rate among children on these days was 14.5 per cent, 20 per cent and 16.27 per cent.
According to the I & PR department, 443 of the new infections are from quarantine and 319 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest of 314 cases followed by Cuttack at 119. Boudh reported nil cases.

With these cases detected from 64,602 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 1.17 per cent.
Odisha now has 6853 active cases. Khurda continues to be in the red zone with 2617 active cases.
