Puri: Three masked miscreants decamped with Rs 3 lakh cash and valuable after breaking into a house at Golara village in Kanasa area of Odisha’s Puri district in a late-night robbery on Thursday.
According to sources, the armed robbers threatened the women inside with knives while placing the blades to their necks. One woman sustained a minor injury to her left hand during the assault, while others were warned of dire consequences if they resisted. Fearing for their lives, the residents handed over the keys, allowing the intruders to loot cash worth Rs 3 lakh, gold and silver jewellery, and other household items.
On being informed, Gadishagada police reached the spot and began an investigation. The area was searched using sniffer dogs to gather clues and track down the robbers.
