Rourkela: A massive fire broke out in Rahmat Nagar slum’s tyre godown under Sector-21 here during wee hours on Friday.
Although the fire gutted properties worth more than a few lakhs, fortunately, no injury or casualties were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Three fire fighting teams rushed to the spot and doused the fire. About 300 families, who live in the slum, were saved, according to sources.
