Cuttack: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Wednesday recommended the name of 786 doctors for government service.
The recommendation of the Commission came after it announced results of the computer-based recruitment examination to the post of Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon) in Group-A (Junior Branch) of Odisha Medical & Health Service cadre under the Health & Family Welfare Department.
The results are available on the OPSC website http://opsc.gov.in
On the basis of the requisition from the Health and Family Welfare department for recruitment of doctors to boost the efforts of the state government in its fight against COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission had decided to conduct computer-based examination to reduce the duration of the process.
The Commission conducted the examination in 15 centres on April 28 and announced the results in 15 days.
A total of 1491 candidates had appeared in the examination.
