Cuttack: During the lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic, when the parents were worried how to keep their children occupied in the confines of their homes 24×7, an 8-year-old girl found a simple way. She started writing to express what she felt about the life around her.
Now she has found her name as youngest writer in the India Book of Records. Meet Achelle Nidhi Mohanty of Cuttack who is the author of ‘The Pandemic: Through A Pair Of 8-Year-Old Eyes’.
The book, published by the ‘Notion Press’, is available in the Amazon.
Achelle is also the junior most writer in the Amazon. Daughter of Odia actors Chandan Mohanty and Meghna Mishra, she is a student of Standard III.
Her book is about the pandemic and its profound impact on daily lives of people, from children to adult. It narrates how the people tried to cope with the extra-ordinary situation that gripped the entire mankind. Achelle’s description of small things, as perceived by a child, stands out extraordinarily in the literary piece.
Achelle is humble about her achievement. “My parents encouraged me a lot in writing. I am very happy after entering the India Book Of Records,” she said.
