Mumbai: We have had a number of Miss World and Miss Universe winners, including Aishwarya and Priyanka Chopra.
Now, India can also boast of a Mrs Universe.
Sherry Singh made history by becoming the first-ever Indian to win the Mrs Universe crown.
Up against 120 married women from across the world at the 48th edition of the pageant, Sherry was the last one standing at the Okada Luxury Resorts in Manila, Philippines.
Sherry earned the right to represent the country after being crowned Mrs India 2025 by UMB Pageants.
“History has been made. After 48 long years, the Mrs Universe crown finally comes home. India’s very own Sherry Singh, crowned Mrs Universe 2025, has brought glory to our nation with her grace, strength, and perseverance. A proud moment for every Indian and for the entire UMB Pageants family who stood tall on the global stage once again. The crown is back where it belongs, in India,” UMB Pageants said in a statement.
In videos shared on social media, Sherry is visibly emotional the moment her win is confirmed, with confetti raining down on the stage.

“This victory is not just mine, it belongs to every woman who has ever dared to dream beyond limits. I wanted to show the world that strength, kindness, and resilience define true beauty,” Sherry said.
Sherry stood out with her poise, grace, eloquence, and a strong message centred around women’s empowerment and mental health awareness, which helped her beat rivals from Saint Petersburg (1st Runner-up) and the Philippines (2nd Runner-up) to the title.
Sherry has been married for nine years, and is mother to a young boy.
A Master’s degree holder in Fashion, Sherry is a former national-level basketball player and a fitness enthusiast.
She has worked with multiple organisations supporting education for girls from underprivileged backgrounds and advocated for emotional well-being.
Sherry has nearly 25,000 followers on Instagram, where she uses the handle ‘sherryibhati’ to share fashion looks, fitness tips and glimpses of her personal life. A devoted follower of Lord Krishna, Sherry also shares insights into her spiritual journey.
Sherry’s mentor Urmimala Boruah, national director of UMB Pageants, was full of praise for her.
