Bhubaneswar: Automotive Mechatronics Learning and Research Centre set up in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, the largest luxury carmaker of India, was inaugurated at KIIT Deemed to be University here on Wednesday.
The centre was inaugurate by Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, Martin Schwenk in the presence of Founder, KIIT & KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta.
This is the first and only centre of its type in Eastern India.
Schwenk said advanced diploma course in automotive mechatronics course is one of its initiative to develop skilled manpower for the automotive industry.”As the leaders of Auto Luxury segment, it is incumbent upon us to upskill the youth with technical expertise required in the segment to make them future-ready,” he added.
Samanta said that such programmes were vital for students to receive quality education along with world-class training and understanding of cutting-edge technology on par with current industry norms.
Earlier this year, a MoU was signed between KIIT and Mercedes-Benz to start
Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics.
