Bhubaneswar: The minimum temperature dropped below 15 degree Celsius in 7 places of Odisha as winter chill was experienced in most parts of the state.
According to regional centre of India Metorological Department (IMD) here, there was an appreciable fall in minimum temperature (night temperature) at many places in south coastal Odisha and at one or two places in south interior Odisha on Wednesday.
Kandhamal was the coldest in the state with a temperature of 10 degree Celsius while Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district recorded the highest maximum temperature of 33.6°C.
The other places that recorded minimum temperature of below 15°C are Koraput (11.5), Semiliguda (11.5), Phulbani (12), Daringbadi (12.5), Kirei (13.2), Keonjhar (14.8), and Bhawanipatna (15).
In the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, the mercury dropped to 18.5°C and Cuttack 19°C respectively.
