Bhubaneswar: The night temperature in G Udayagiri dropped below 8°C again, and hovered around 15°C in twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in the last 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
The hill station in Kandhamal district was the coldest in the state at 7.5°C, followed by Phulbani and Daringbadi, also in the same district, at 9.5°C and 10°C respectively. Dense fog also engulfed Phulbani and Rourkela, which recorded 12.2°C. Bhawanipatna at 11.2°C witnessed moderate fog. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recoded 15.2°C and 15°C respectively, according to the weather agency.
It further stated that shallow to moderate fog may occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Kandhamal and Kalhandi districts till November 28 morning.
Odisha may also experience light rain for three days from December 28 under the influence of the the system over Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a deep depression and move north-northwestwards towards Sri Lanka–Tamil Nadu coasts during the subsequent 2 days, as it would lead to moisture incursion.

Light rain is likely at one or two places in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam and Gajapati districts on November 28, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam and Gajapati on November 29, and Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati , Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput on November 30.
The rainfall activity will lead to an increase in the night temperature, which may rise by 2-3°C from November 29, it added.
