Bhubaneswar: Amid the dense to very dense fog warning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday forecast a fall in the minimum temperature by 2-4 degree after a rise of 2-3 degrees during the next 2 days.
The weather agency has issued an orange warning of very dense fog for Jagatsinghpur, Dhenkanal, Boudh and Nayagarh till January 3 morning; and Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Cuttack and Khurda during the subsequent 24 hours. Thick blanket of fog may shroud Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Puri and Cuttack over the next two days till January 6 morning.
Similarly, yellow warning of dense fog has been issued for districts of Khurda, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Cuttack, Balasore, Angul, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Koraput and Kandhamal till January 3 morning, and Kendrapada, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Sundargarh and Kandhamal during the subsequent 24 hours. Dense fog may occur in isolated pockets of Khurda, Bhadrak, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal and Sundargarh districts over the next two days till January 6 morning.
The IMD further warned of dense fog at isolated pockets in districts Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh and Khurda during the subsequent 24 hours.
