Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the regional meteorological centre here, in their midday bulletin on Friday, extended the rain forecast for Odisha till January 25.
It also issued ‘yellow’ warning for thunderstorms and lightning in eight districts on January 23.
Jan 22 (till 8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Odisha, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
Jan 22 (8.30 am) to Jan 23 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
Jan 23 (8.30 am) to Jan 24 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at a few places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara.
Yellow warning: Thunderstorms and lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
Jan 25 (8.30 am) to Jan 26 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Puri.
The minimum temperature is likely to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next two days.
