Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre has issued a thunderstorm and rainfall alert for eight Odisha districts till 5.15pm on Tuesday.
The Met office issued the alert for Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Kandhamal, Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
Moderate thunderstorm and lightning with light rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over these districts from 2.15pm to 5.15pm, an IMD bulletin said.
People are advised to stay indoors and take precautionary measures during this period.
