Gajapati: A minor boy has been detained on allegations of raping a 7-year-old Tibetan girl in Odisha’s Gajapati district.
Police confirmed that the accused minor is being questioned at the police station and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. Medical examination of the survivor has also been conducted.

According to sources, the incident took place on Sunday at Jirang in the Chandragiri Outpost area under Mohana police limits when the girl was alone at home. Her parents had gone to attend a programme at a relative’s house. The boy was known to the girl’s family, which had even extended financial support to him for his education.
