Puri: Simhadwara Police here on Thursday detained a minor girl of Nimapara on charges of recording a video inside Jagannath Temple premises and posting it on the video-sharing app TikTok.
Talking to the media, additional SP, Puri, Arun Kumar Jena said that interrogation of the minor girl is on.
Stating that a case has been registered under Section 295(A), 30 of the Ancient Monument Act and 66 of the IT Act, he said necessary action will be taken in accordance with the law.
The video shot near Ananda Bazaar inside the temple premises with sevayats carrying Mahaprasad in sling went viral on social media on October 28.
