Jajpur: A minor girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by two persons at Binjharpur in Jajpur district.
According to available information, the girl went missing after tuition classes near her house on Wednesday. Her family members searched for her and later lodged a missing complaint at Binjharpur police station on Friday.
After receiving the complaint, police swung into action and managed to rescue the victim from a nearby village following raids at various places in the district.
One of the accused was later arrested.
“The medical examination of the girl has been conducted. In her statement, she alleged that two persons kidnapped and sexually assaulted her. Efforts are on to nab the other person involved in the crime,” Binjharpur SDPO Prashant Kumar Malla informed.
