Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested a youth for allegedly raping a minor girl in the city’s Old Town area.
The accused has been identified as Rabi Das.
According to police, Rabi had sneaked into his neigbours’ house when other family members were absent on Monday evening and raped the girl.
Later, the girl narrated the incident to her parents and they lodged a complaint at Lingaraj police station.
Acting on the complaint, police arrested Rabi on Tuesday and forwarded him to a court after a medical examination.
