Minor Girl’s Murder In Bhubaneswar: Uncle, Accomplice Held

Bhubaneswar: A fortnight after highly decomposed body of a minor girl was recovered from Nandan Enclave in Bhubaneswar, two men including her uncle were arrested by the police for allegedly killing her and trying to destroy the evidence.

The accused were identified as Nanda alias Sukhlal Soy (29) of Jajpur and Narendra Singh (35) of Udala area of Mayurbhanj district. Both have been staying in Nandan Vihar in Infocity area of the state capital.

The decomposed body of the girl, aged around 11 years, was spotted by locals on August 11 and subsequently it was identified by Sukhlal.

During investigation, local witnesses disclosed that Sukhalal had assaulted his niece Turki alias Mama Soy on August 9 brutally with a wooden log, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh said.

As Turki died on the spot, Sukhalal concealed the body and contacted Narendra Singh. They prepared a plan to conceal the body as well as to destroy the evidence.

On the same day night, the two shifted the body of deceased and dumped it a backside of a house at Nandan Enclave, Kalarahanga.
