Jehanabad: In another shocking incident of sexual violence against minors, a video showing six young men molesting a girl and ripping off her clothes in Bihar’s Jehanabad has gone viral.
Police have detained two persons for their alleged involvement in the incident. The video which was received by a senior officer on Sunday, had been doing the rounds on social media.
An FIR had been registered against the mob under POCSO Act. Two more perpetrators of the crime, however, are missing from the clip.
The police have seized the mobile phone with which the video was shot and also the motorcycle in the clip.
The video comes close on the heels of a series of recent rape cases involving minors. Widespread protests were held after the Kathua and Unnao rape cases, prompting a special order awarding death penalty for child.
In Odisha, a six-year old girl died on Sunday, after battling for life for eight days in SCB Medical and Hospital in Cuttack. She was allegedly raped by her neighbour and had injuries on her face, neck and private parts.
