Sambalpur: A minor boy who created fake profiles of Health Minister Naba Das, BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra and Sambalpur Collector Shubham Saxena on Facebook and used those to seek favours from people has been arrested.
“The boy used to create fake accounts on Facebook and pretend to be a minister, MLA or MP,” Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora said. “He would then chat with people on his Friend’s List and ask them for cellphone handsets or money.”
The police arrested the Class VIII student on Thursday. The accused will be produced before the juvenile justice board and is likely to be sent to a correctional home, sources said.
