Lucknow: In a yet another disappointing match, Hockey Gangpur lost its match to Hockey Haryana 3-2 at the Senior Men’s Championship in Lucknow on Sunday.
The Gangpur team led by Bikash Toppo, went down despite taking lead in the third quarter.
After playing goal-less first quarter, Haryana opened the scoring with Mandeep Antil netting the first field goal. Three minutes before the half-time, Gangpur netted the equaliser, when Roshan Minz scored off a penalty corner.
Gangpur managed to take lead when Minz once again scored a field goal in the 37th minute.
However, Vishal Dahiya equalised it in the 40thminute while Johnny Jasrotia hammered the final goal through a penalty corner, with two minutes to go for the hooter.
