Mira Rajput To Make TV Debut On ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ With Shahid Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter

Mumbai: Mira Rajput is set to make her television debut on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, joining husband Shahid Kapoor and brother-in-law Ishaan Khatter for a special episode.

On Wednesday, Netflix India unveiled the promo, offering a glimpse of the fun-filled conversation and marking Mira’s first television appearance.

Shahid and Ishaan made a lively entry, dancing together to the hit song ‘Zingaat’.

Mira later joined Shahid on the couch and acknowledged that it was her first-ever television appearance.

During the conversation, Shahid shared an amusing anecdote about Mira’s reaction to his film ‘Udta Punjab’, in which he portrayed a rockstar battling drug addiction.

He revealed that Mira sat beside him when the film began but had moved far away by the time it ended.

Kapil Sharma joined in on the fun, joking that she might have run away altogether had Shahid shown her ‘Kabir Singh’ instead.

Mira also described Shahid as an indulgent father who loves pampering their children, Misha and Zain, but clarified that he does so in a good way.

When Kapil asked which of Shahid’s habits irritated her the most, Mira responded with a straight face, “One?” Her witty reply left Shahid visibly surprised and drew laughter from the audience.

The episode will premiere on Netflix on October 31 at 8 pm.

Shahid and Mira met through an arranged match facilitated by their families through a religious community.

While Mira reportedly took nearly six months to make up her mind, Shahid was drawn to her during a lengthy conversation at a Delhi farmhouse.

Despite initial reservations over their 13–14-year age difference, the couple eventually agreed to the match and married in an intimate ceremony in Delhi on July 7, 2015.

Shahid was last seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘O Romeo’, which also featured Triptii Dimri, Avinash Tiwary and Nana Patekar in key roles.

Meanwhile, Ishaan’s most recent film was the critically acclaimed ‘Homebound’, which made the Oscars shortlist but did not secure a place among the final five nominees.
