Balasore: A gang of unidentified miscreants opened fire on a hotel on OT Road in Balasore district on Sunday night.
No injury or casualty was reported in the incident.
However, windows and glass doors of the hotel were badly shattered.
According to eyewitnesses, three motorcycle-borne assailants opened three rounds of fire and fled the spot immediately.
On receiving information regarding the firing, a team of officers from Sadar police station reached to place.
Although the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police and employees of the establishment suspect it to be the handiwork of some criminals for extorting money.
