Balangir: The blood-soaked body of a five-year-old boy, who had been missing since Friday morning, was recovered from a pit in Laxminagarpada area of Balangir district on Friday night. The child has been identified as Jagdu Bag’s son.
Residents spotted the child’s body in a pit and informed police, who reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem. Though the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the child was killed and then his body thrown into the pit. Investigations are on.
