Bhubaneswar: To prevent mass congregation of people at markets and grocery stores, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to launch mobile vending of vegetables in the Odisha capital.
Talking to the media on Thursday, BMC commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said that the vendors into street food business will now be able to sell vegetables and grocery items. “We are in talks with the street food vendors in this regard,” he added.
He said the decision has been taken to strictly adhere to the social distancing guidelines of the state government as a precautionary measure to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
