New York: Moderna Inc on Monday said it will produce at least 600 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier, it had decided to make 100 million doses.
The company is also working towards increasing the production forecast to a billion doses.
So far, it has supplied around 18 million doses to the US government which will procure 200 million doses in this deal.
Canada will be getting 40 million doses as well.
Moderna’s vaccine, like Pfizer’s, needs to be stored at sub-zero temperatures.
