Keonjhar: Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit his birthplace Raikala in Keonjhar district on Monday for the first time after becoming Odisha Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister, who began his two-day visit to Keonjhar district on Sunday, he will be visiting his village Raikala on Monday and meet his family members and near and dear ones.
Majhi will also interact with the villagers during his first visit to his native place after assuming the high office, sources said.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive at Raikala by a special helicopter from Keonjhar Circuit House. Residents of Raikala and nearby areas have made elaborate arrangements to accord a grand reception to Majhi.
Locals said Majhi’s relatives have planned to prepare special dishes and serve him his favourite cuisines.
Sources said that the CM is likely to take out a roadshow from Raikala to Durga field in Jhumpura, where he is slated to attend a public meeting.
After addressing the public, Majhi will return to Raikala, where he will hold discussion with the locals and listen to their grievances at a temporary office. He will then return to Bhubaneswar by the special helicopter winding up his two-day visit to Keonjhar.
