Molestation Allegation: Jindal Group Executive Sent On Administrative Leave

New Delhi: A senior executive of a Jindal group company, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment, has been sent on administrative leave.

A woman recently alleged that fellow-passenger Dinesh Saraogi, CEO of Vulcan Green Steel — a promoter group company of Jindal Steel — showed her porn clips on phone and groped her on board an Etihad Airways flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi.

The woman, who narrated her horrific experience via social media posts, tagged Jindal Steel & Power Chairman Naveen Jindal, who promised an immediate investigation and strict action against te offender.

On Saturday, Vulcan Group took cognizance of the serious allegations and initiated a third-party investigation, reported PTI.

“We are deeply concerned about the recent allegations involving a senior executive in our company. We recognise the gravity of the situation and are committed to addressing it with utmost seriousness, care, integrity, and urgency,” VGS said in a statement.

Oman-based Vulcan Green Steel (VGS) is the steel arm of Vulcan Green, which is part of the Naveen Jindal-led group of companies.
