Lucknow: A special POCSO court in UP’s Muzaffarnagar has asked Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife to appear in court on October 7 in a molestation case filed by her against the actor and his family.

In the notice issued to Aaliya Siddiqui, POCSO court judge Ritesh Sachdeva has summoned her to give her reply after police filed a final report in the case against all accused, including Nawazuddin.

PTI quoted government counsel Pradeep Balyan as saying that police have given a clean chit to all five accused — Nawazuddin, his mother Mehrunisa, his brothers Fezuddin, Ayazuddin and Minazuddin — in the molestation case.

According to the prosecution, Nawazuddin’s brother Minazuddin had allegedly molested a minor family member in 2012 and the others had supported him.

Aliya had filed an FIR in Mumbai in 2020, which was later shifted to Budhana police station in Muzaffarnagar.
