More Rainfall In Odisha From Today
Bhubaneswar: There will be increased rainfall in most parts of Odisha from Thursday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar warned on Thursday that thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rainfall with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph are likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Kendrapara and Keonjhar between 12.15 pm and 3.15 pm. It advised people to remain alert during the period.
The IMD also issued a three-day yellow warning for thunderstorm with lighting and hail accompanied with gusty surface winds, speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph over the following districts.

The rainfall recorded in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Thursday was highest in Daringbadi with 34 mm followed by Talcher (24), Sambalpur (13.4), Bhubaneswar (13.2), Angul (12), Titlagarh (9), Sonepur (8.4), Koraput (8.2), Hirakud (7.8), Rayagada (6.2), Sundargarh (4), Keonjhar (3.8), Keonjhar (3.8) and Boudh (3.1).
