More Recoveries Than New COVID-19 Cases In Bhubaneswar; 28 More Pvt Hosp Staff, 10 Cops Infected

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha capital breached 17000-mark and touched 17295 on Wednesday with 362 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 286 of these are local contact cases while the rest 76 have been detected among those in quarantine.

Eighteen among them are private hospital staff, three health department employees and two of a government hospital. Ten more cops have also been infected.

The quarantine cases include another 10 private hospital staff.

Another 16 cases have been reported from Nayapalli, which includes three from Behera Sahi, and eight more from Salia Sahi.

Eleven of those infected are natives of other districts, the BMC informed.

The 24 hours also saw 406 more patients getting cured of the infection.

With 64 deaths and 12694 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 4524 active cases.
