Bhubaneswar: The most awaited Odia movie, Biju Babu, based on legendary leader Biju Patnaik, his beliefs and philosophy, was released on Friday at Brindaban cinema hall in Cuttack and at Cinepolis in Esplanade Mall, Bhubaneswar.
Its producer Akshay Kumar Parija, presenter-cum-producer of the movie Dr Nila Madhab Panda, lead actors Anubhav Mohanty and Supriya Nayak and the movie’s star cast watched the movie along with the audience in Bhubaneswar.
“I grew up with the philosophy of Biju Patnaik, then dynamic Chief Minister of Odisha. I was six-years-old when I first saw Biju Babu at Bhubaneswar and found him to be a ‘towering’ personality, literally and figuratively,” producer Parija told odishabytes. “While we all know about Biju Babu’s daring nature and his attachment to Odisha, we have portrayed other aspects of his personality and his visionary approach for the youth of Odisha in this film.”
“It is not a political film. We don’t believe in political fantasy,” he further said.
The movie is co-produced by Prashant Behera of Prakash Films, Anuj Tyagi, Manav Rath and Barnali Rath.
