Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday signed an MoU and two agreements with TATA Strive and Tech Mahindra.
The MoU and agreements signed at Kharavela Bhawan here in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik aim at creating more employment opportunities for the youths of Odisha.
The Agreements:
0> Tech Mahindra and Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and College of Engineering & Technology (CET) inked an MoU to set up a Centre of Excellence in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Here, students will get an opportunity to work on proof of concept on real-life business problems to keep up with the market demand. It will help enhance the employability of engineering students.
0> Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTE&T) and TATA Strive inked an agreement to impart Life Skills to students of all 49 state-run ITIs in Odisha.
0> IDCO and Tech Mahindra signed another to set up a state-of-the-art facility for International BPO at Fortune Tower for global customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said, “Our vision is to make Odisha the nucleus of global skilled manpower requirement by enhancing our skill to such a level that all the top industrial houses across the globe rope in our workforce in large numbers.”
Referring to Odisha boys winning feat at World Skill Competition in Russia, He said that signs of our excellence have been exhibited at the global level. “This partnership will definitely augment the prospects of our skilled youth in global placements,” he added.
