Mumbai Police Issue Fresh Summons To Kangana, Rangoli In Sedition Case
Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Tuesday issued fresh summons to actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel in the sedition case against them.
According to an IANS report, Kangana and her sister have been summoned to appear before the Bandra police next week for the interrogation in the case.
Reportedly, Kangana has been summoned on November 9 and her sister the following day.
The fresh summons was issued against the actress and her sister after they failed to appear before the Bandra police on October 26-27.
Kangana’s lawyer had sent a letter to Bandra Police seeking a postponement in the investigation date as the sisters were busy with their brother’s wedding. “Among the charges include Indian Penal Code Sec. 124-A (sedition)…besides spreading communal hatred and falsehoods. The police have already recorded the statement of the complainant, Munawwarali Sahil A. Sayyed in this connection last month,” lawyer Ravish Zamindar told IANS.
Bollywood casting director and fitness trainer, Munawwarali Sahil A. Sayyed, had lodged a complaint against Kangana and her sister Rangoli for tarnishing the image of the film industry and the people associated with it.
