Mumbai: Vikas Singh, the lawyer of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, has alleged that Mumbai Police is pressurizing the actor’s family to name big production houses in the case.
“Mumbai Police is asking the family to name five-six big production houses. Why should we name the production houses if we have nothing against them directly? There might be some indirect involvement, but that can’t be the basis for us to say, you forget Rhea (Chakraborty) and go after big production houses,” Vikas told Times Now.
According to the report, the lawyer has also alleged that Mumbai Police is not investigating the case properly and no FIR has been filed so far.
“They (Mumbai Police) are taking the matter in a different direction and not taking it to its logical end,” said Vikas.
The lawyer also revealed that the Patna police registered an FIR in the case only after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s intervention.
“The Patna Police was a little hesitant but CM Nitish Kumar and Minister Sanjay Jha explained the matter to them and FIR was registered. We want that the matter be investigated by the Patna Police. The family has not demanded CBI investigation yet,” said the lawyer.
Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea and her family members for abetment to suicide.
KK Singh also claimed that the actress cheated and exploited his son, used his credit cards and threatened him, compelling him to take the drastic step.
