He suffered cardiac arrest on January 25 at 7:43 am, and despite aggressive resuscitation efforts following ACLS protocol, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:02 am, it added.
Born in Cuttack, Majumdar began his career in music in 1991. Over the decades, he became one of the most influential figures in the Odia music industry, composing music for more than 700 songs across Odia and Sambalpuri films, albums, and independent projects. His signature style, blending melody and emotion, earned him widespread acclaim and a devoted fan base. Notable works include contributions to films like ‘Love Story’ and ‘Sister Sridevi’, as well as evergreen tracks that continue to resonate with audiences.
