Berhampur: A woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a village of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Tuesday.
The villagers of Chaudhuri Tikarapada under K Nuagaon police station in Berhampur police district spotted the body of the 31-year-old woman in the morning.

On being informed, a police team, led by Berhampur SP Dr Saravana Vivek M, along with the scientific team and the dog squad visited the spot. Though the police suspected it to be a murder, no weapon was found near the body.
The police have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. They have registered a case and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the woman’s death, the SP said.
