Bhubaneswar: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) would organise a mango festival-cum-exhibition from June 8 to 14 at its premises at IRC Village here.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal would inaugurate the second edition of the state mango festival of the NABARD.
In the festival, the best varieties of mangoes grown in different parts of the State would be displayed for sale.
Tribals from across the state would participate in the festival under the banner of the NABARD’s “Wadi” projects.
The “Wadi” projects envisage enhancement of livelihood opportunities for the tribal communities of the state.
The NABARD conducts this festival every year. It attracts a large number of people, who visit the exhibition for purchase of best quality carbide-free mangoes. These mangoes are available directly from the orchard of the farmers, informed NABARD officials through a Press release.
