Mumbai: There is massive interest in ‘Made in India – A Titan Story’, an upcoming web series.
Not only because the show captures the remarkable journey of brave vision, leadership, innovation and enterprise that contributed to nation-building and defined the Tata legacy, but also as the redoubtable veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is portraying J R D Tata.
On July 29, Naseeruddin’s first look as the legendary industrialist was unveiled on social media by MX Player. It was a significant date, marking the Bharat Ratna recipient and former Tata Group chairperson’s 121st birth anniversary.

The Amazon MX Player and Almighty Motion Picture-backed series offers a cinematic glimpse into the visionary leadership of JRD.
The series also features Jim Sarbh as Xerxes Desai, the pioneering founder of Titan Watch Company. The ensemble cast also includes Namita Dubey, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Kaveri Seth, Lakshvir Saran, and Paresh Ganatra in key roles.
Produced by Prabhleen Sandhu (founder of Almighty Motion Picture), directed by Robby Grewal, and written by Karan Vyas, ‘Made in India – A Titan Story’ will premiere on Amazon MX Player for free, and will be available through MX Player app on mobile and Connected TVs, on the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and Airtel Xtreme.
Set in the 1980s, the series depicts the partnership between JRD and Xerxes, and shows how two individuals built an empire with revolutionary products during tough times.
The series is inspired by Vinay Kamath’s bestseller ‘Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand’. The story highlights challenges faced by the consumer watchmaking brand as it pursues entrepreneurial success.
