National Herald case: Hum Narendra Modi Se Nahi Darte Hai, Fumes Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is tightening the noose on the Gandhi family in the National Herald case.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul have been interrogated multiple times, the Herald House has been searched along with several other locations and the Young Indian office sealed.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi accused that the Congress is being intimidated, but they are ‘not scared’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
“This is an attempt to intimidate… They think that by putting pressure, they can silence us. But we will not remain quiet. What Narendra Modi ji and Amit Shah ji are doing with democracy, we will stand against it, whatever happens,” Rahul told reporters in New Delhi.
“Koi farak nahi padta. Bhagne ki kaun baat kar raha hai? Hum intimidate nahi honge. Hum Narendra Modi se nahi darte hai. Jo humara kaam hai – Desh ki raksha karna, Loktantra ki raksha karna, desh ki harmony ko maintain karna, main woh karta rahunga. Ye kuchh bhi karle, koi farak nahi padta. Karle jo karna hai (It does not make any difference. Who is talking about running away? We will not get intimidated. Will continue to work to protect country, democracy, help maintain harmony. Will do my work whatever they may do),” the Congress MP said.
Rahul added that none from the Congress accompanied the ED team during search of Young Indian premises, which was sealed yesterday.
Congress also alleged that the party was under ‘siege’.
“Delhi police has surrounded our HQs, and homes of INC President & ex-President. This is the worst form of vendetta politics. We will not submit! We will not be silenced! We will continue to raise our voice against injustices and failures of Modi Sarkar!” said Congress leader Jairam Ramesh.
