Naveen Approves Proposal For 5 Vending Zones In Khurda Town
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal for setting up 5 Smart Vending Zones in Khurda town.
According to a release of chief minister’s office on Friday, the Smart Vending Zones will be constructed at five different locations in the town. Total 266 kiosks will be constructed in the five zones for which Rs 8.79 crore has been sanctioned.
Under the project, the vending zone will be developed in five patches. Total 90 kiosks will be constructed in Patch I, 30 in Patch II, 90 in Patch III, 28 in Patch IV and 28 in Patch V.
The Chief Minister approved the project after it was proposed by the locals during the visit of Chairman of 5T VK Pandian to the district. They said the construction of vending zones in the town has been their long-standing demand.
The people’s proposal for a market complex in Khurda town was under the consideration of the Chief Minister under the ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ programme. A decision on the proposal will be taken soon, the release stated.
