Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved transformation of all Plus II and degree colleges in Deogarh district with a cost of Rs 10.25 crore.
This was revealed by secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian during an interaction with students in the district on Sunday. He said the fund has been sanctioned for transformation of 19 Plus II colleges and 9 degree colleges under 5T initiative of the state government.
He visited the waterfall at Pradhanpat and discussed with the local people about development of tourist amenities to promote the place as a destination of eco-tourism.
The secretary also reviewed progress of under-construction 300-bed District Headquarters Hospital taken up with a cost of Rs 115 crores and directed the officials to complete it by October.
Later, he attended public grievances at Bada Bagicha ground and heard the individual as well as community grievances. He assured the petitioners of early disposal of their grievances.
