Naveen Approves Rs 45 Crore For Cultural Centres Of Minority Communities
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved fund for construction of 150 multi-purpose cultural-cum-community centres for the people belonging to minority communities in Odisha.
A release of Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Monday stated that an amount of Rs 45 crore has been sanctioned for the purpose in 22 districts. These include community centres for Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and Sikh communities.
The chief minister said this will go a long way for preservation of culture and heritage of minority communities of the state.
The fund will help create space for the minority communities to undertake various community-based activities in the Multi-Purpose Cultural-cum-Community Centres.
