Bhubaneswar: Three hockey players from Odisha have made it to the 18-member under-21 Indian Junior Men’s Team for an upcoming eight-nation tournament in Spain.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday congratulated the players, Suman Beck (vice captain), Pratap Lakra and Sudeep Chirmako, on Twitter.

The tournament kicks off from June 10.
The Hockey India on Tuesday named the 18-member Indian junior men’s team. The teams which will vie for top honours include the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Austria, Australia, Zealand, hosts Spain and India.
The captain of the team is Mandeep Mor. The goalkeepers for this tournament are Prashant Kumar Chauhan and Pawan. Defenders will be Mandeep Mor, Pratap Lakra, Sanjay, Akashdeep Singh Junior, Suman Beck and Parampreet Singh.
