Naveen Dedicates 323 More Transformed High Schools In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday dedicated 323 transformed high schools under 5T initiative of Odisha government.

The chief minister inaugurated the high schools through video-conferencing on 5th day of third phase of school transformation programme under 5T in 5 districts. While 62 high schools were transformed in Khurda district, 100 schools were covered in Mayurbhanj, 62 in Bargarh, 23 in Boudh and 76 in Nabarangpur.

With this, total 1,816 high schools have undergone transformation in the third phase. While total 3,981 schools were covered in the second phase, the government targets to transform total 6,132 schools under the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister advised the students to maintain transparency in their life as honesty not only earns trust but also respect from the society. He congratulated members of the school management committee, parents and local community for their contribution towards transformation of the schools.

“The school transformation is a bright example of public participation in government programme. From design to implementation and the expenditure, people have taken active participation. It reflects the transparency of the programme,” he said.

Science and Technology Minister Ashok Panda participated in the programme from Khurda, Atabira MLA Sbehngini Chhuria from Baragrh, Women and Child Development Minister Basanti Hembram from Mayurbhanj, Information and Public Relations Minister Pradip Kumar Amat from Boudh and MLA Manohar Randhari from Nabarangpur.
