Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated the three-lane roads on both sides of Taladanda canal in Cuttack city on virtual mode.
The roads that connect Jobra with Ranihat was constructed in record 7 months at a cost of Rs 14 crore will facilitate traffic movement for the patients coming to SCB Medical College and Hospital in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the road will be further widened for smooth movement of ambulance and other vehicles bringing patients from different parts of the state.
Stating that the Millennium City has a major problem of narrow roads that pose a problem for movement of vehicles, he said the state government has give top priority to solve this problem as part of modernisation plan of the city.
Naveen thanked the people of Cuttack for their sacrifice and cooperation to make the project successful and assured of the government’s determined efforts for beautification of the city.
Health and Family Welfare minister Naba Kishore Das, Urban Development minister Pratap Jena, Works Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik, Cuttack-Chowdwar MLA Soubhik Biswal, 5T secretary VK Pandian and district collector also spoke on the occasion.
