Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has launched eight technology driven solutions under 5T initiative including BLUIS on land encroachment.
Bhubaneswar Land Use Intelligent System (BLUIS) is a mobile-based application to monitor encroachment of government land under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area.
In a tweet, CM’s Office said, “BLUIS uses space technology and Artificial Intelligence to monitor changes on Govt lands and safeguard them. Odisha is a pioneer in using emerging technology in this field.”
With ‘BLUIS’, real time satellite imagery can be availed and the development taking place on the government land can be detected through Artificial Intelligence. Every piece of public land is geo-tagged.
Besides, BLUIS will send alert to enforcement authorities regarding illegal settlements.
According to sources, Odisha Space Applications Centre (ORSAC), the apex body in the state for space technology applications, was assigned to develop BLUIS app.
“BLUIS app has Geo Positioning System which will guide enforcement staff to exact location. Evidence of encroachment is uploaded on the App as geo tagged images and Videos,” a statement released by the CMO said.
Along with BLUIS, the chief minister launched applications like e-Pravesh, e-Bhawan, e-Atithi, HRMS 2.0, HRMS mobile app, LMS 2.0, ORTPSA to improve public services.
