Bhubaneswar Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the iconic Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya at Andharua, on the outskirts of Odisha capital, on Wednesday.
“The model school has been built keeping in view the need to provide quality education to meritorious students of the state. It will be another milestone in the field of quality education,” a CMO release said.
The CM had announced the project in 2021 and its foundation stone was laid on September 5 that year, coinciding with Guru Diwas. The model school has come up over 25 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore. It has been constructed by Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC).
Selected students of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalas spread across the state in 314 blocks, can take admission into Class XI and Class XII in this model school. The student strength of the school will be 500 – 250 each for Class XI and XII. Apart from study, the students will get different types of coaching facilities to crack national-level tests, sources said.
