He announced that 40 higher educational institutions will be developed under 5T transformation in the first phase. This will provide state-of-the-art campus and  classrooms to over 30,000 students at the under-graduate and post-graduate level.

Stating that the success of school transformation programme has inspired the government to take up similar initiatives for the higher education institution, he said the government is developing 1070 schools for transformation which will be completed by November 14.

Thanking the donors and contributors, Naveen said, “This is undoubtedly a great beginning which will go a long way to inspire more and more members of the alumni and philanthropists to give back to their alma maters for ensuring a holistic development of the college ecosystem of the state.”

Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo, chairman of Mo College Akash Das Nayak and principal secretary, Higher Education Saswat Mishra also spoke on the occasion.

Chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, senior government officers, vice-chancellors of universities, college principals and contributors were present.
